When I
think of my favourite hue
Images
of red blanket my viewRed of the rose, lush like a heart
Intertwined ribbons wild and free
Vibrant and bold full of vintage warmth
Variant shades revealing state of mind
Extroverted or angered with rage
Or coloured by passionate emotion
A defining moment wearing the colour love
Or painting , expressionist in the making
All wrapped and tangled
It’s what red does to me
The colour that is
