A Message

How she must have waited a long time

To deliver, to him her long awaited message

A message of love – the love of a parent

To her son

She observes his life from the heavens

Awaiting the day they open, to deliver her message

The words spoken in her mind many times

Even though she knows no time where she is

No time in hours, days, weeks, months or years
How she prays for that day – they can release

A sons life, played out in the years since her absence

She has already seen his life ahead of him

Yet it’s simply love that she wishes to send – not answers

She knows he was there for her – fought for her

She knows about his heartache and anger

She knows his personal conflicts held within

He is of course her son – who could know him better

Her son shows wisdom and righteousness

Her son is full of goodness and is fair

How he brings joy to her spirit every day

How she loves him so very much

All she hopes is that he feels it so

If only she could send her message to him

Tell him that all is going to be absolutely fine

A mothers love for her son – never subsides

Where the heavens offer a resting place

She sees all that her son has achieved

She sees the wonderful parent that he is

She knows the goodness he holds within

How proud she is of the man her son became

One day he shall know her message to him

A key in the form of a person shall see

Until this day, words will be held

Held with her under lock and key

Awaiting their release

All I thought I lost

Not knowing the truth but wanting to find it

My heart beating so fast in my desperation

To think logically and smart. while all over

My body was trembling, so much inside

I did not want to resign myself to loss

But to have the strength to find him at all costs

Do you know what it would be like?

For someone so important in your life

Is no longer to be – to be lost – without trace

Time was critical and yet where do I start

I will search for him until my last breath and beyond

I throw myself into radical survival to find the truth

To sacrifice myself into their hands for answers

Would you do the same – for someone you love?

Risk your life to find them - because you know

That life without them, is not the life you want to live

If I were not to be successful  –  he will know

I did not hold back my fight  –  I fought for him

In this place I found myself in, I search deep inside

Closer to all that I believe wholeheartedly in

I have fear, I will be tested and pulled and challenged

I will be on the edge of hope, despair, life and death

I pray for guidance, strength, resilience and wisdom

Even if my life should end, I will not give up my search

To find the truth for me and for all that love him so much

He will be reunited with those who love him –

Even if this is all I ever do in physical life or spirit

It’s in the moment when I felt helpless and vulnerable

That hope appears to me in the brightest of light

I look at it straight in the eye – the guidance I seek

Tears well in my heart as I cannot show them I cry

The strength is there – I just need it put it into drive

He speaks to me in my mind – instruction to survive

Just listen to me when I address thee - My Lady

The love of my life tells me that all will be fine

Together the answers will come

No Ordinary Love

With us there is no ordinary day

There is no ordinary love – you and me

We have talked for hours and hours

In silence our conversation has no end

How your eyes tell me all I feel inside

How I feel about you is reflected back to me

You bring so much joy in to my world

This joy would never have been known

Without you in my life –

All that you inspire within me

Would not have been realised

For a long time

I was not prepared to fall deeply into love

Even though I didn’t know what that was

After you searched long to find my heart

You captured it and uncovered all of the dust

You raised it to the surface – made me realise

 I was capable of deep love

You – the only one forever – to take me there

You are love that I see

You are a love that I feel – never subsiding

I don’t need a sunny sky to be happy

No matter what a life brings – I have you

Having your love, knowing you care

Knowing that you want me in your life

Is the love that I always see and feel

Love is the root cause of happiness

You are the root cause of my amazing happiness

A happiness I never thought I could feel
